Monday...hair cut and art table setup

a boxed set of old records...bought the box for the illustration and to use in altered art.

a lace shirt I bought in a funny old shop over the road...it looks nice on. another boxed set of records...to use in art...each box was $1.00 I love the artwork on these... pages in progress in my journal...I used the jolly green giant peas in the fried rice for our party and liked the labels...and the butterflies are stamps like the birds stamps.... work in progress on my table...see the mickey mouse type paint samples from the hardware shop?

fun finds at the thrift shop and an estate sale

a kids game from the op shop with clocks and times ...have used them already in my journal.. a nice old print of a (to me) typically Canadian painting style...pretty little lamp base..about a foot high and it works...3 gorgeous old hand embroidered table runners...about 4 to 5 feet long...$a collection of sewing paraphernalia....sewing basket etc for $10.

Saturday Morning

It's early Saturday morning and I am in the office working on Sarah's painting, I'm up to the hard parts now, the face and the hair and I am struggling a bit but I want to keep working on it so that I finish it before Christmas!
Trying to get the right shade of red hair is tricky!


I'm really looking forward to June, we have fun plans for every weekend which will be busy but lots of fun!
I will take some photos when we go out tonight and tomorrow at the Rummage.

I am taking Tom to the Myer stocktake sale today, he wants me to help him choose a heap of new clothes, he is so much slimmer than a year ago!

One bunch of the flowers you bought me are still alive 2 weeks later! They are looking a bit sad but I want to keep them as long as I can.

Don's family at out party.

So..they are: Phillip and Melanie, me and Don, Mary, Don's mum, Alanna - Don's niece, Jackie - Don's sister and 3 of little rellies she was baby sitting and at the end is Kevin, Alanna's partner.

Gardening on the 16th floor....

I planted some herbs - basil with the tomato plant, rosemary and chives and some white geranium and trailing ivy...all very compact but at least I could play in some dirt and grow something.
