sunday in canada

so...sunday morning...wild blueberry jam on gluten free toast (or bluet sauvages confiture)...in bed after 2 phone calls to Oz then 20 laps of the indoor pool and eavesdropping on the old Russian ladies...a bit difficult as they spoke in Russian...Later we drove up to Constance Bay and swam in the river..my first swim in it, have mostly swum in lakes...The water was so fresh...at times the treatment plants overflow and the beaches are closed so I checked with Don as to the possibility of 'foreign objects' (yuckie) being in the vicinity...none though luckily...We did some driving around sight seeing - stopped at a yard sale in the little village of Galetta...didn't buy anything and the place reminded me of the Bun...although a lot prettier and greener..but very sleepy and small and 'local'...Then home to the air-conditioning as it is pretty hot here...a Canadian heatwave is happening.....and I was so tired I didn't go to my meeting but went to bed with a book...I want to add it to the blog but can't work out how....it is the Circle Trilogy by Nora Roberts...So now it is Monday morning and there are incredible cloud formations out there...it is a weird day...almost apocalyptic looking with the huge banks of cloud along the horizon and then dark sky and sun trying to come through. Being on the 16th floor gives a different perspective looking down on the world...Feeling creative today..xxoo
