Sunday Breakfast
We went to a 30th last night and due to a very generous bar tab I had one too many Long Island Ice Teas. I woke up this morning and wanted a giant feed so we went to the Chalk for brekky. It was so yummy - and entirely gluten free! But so much food!
Tom was so cranky he could only eat half his plate - he was very disappointed in the wasted money.
This is what was left on our plates when we had eaten all we could handle.

new art class
I am starting an oils art class on Monday...I thought we would still be away so wouldn't be able to do the first class but of course due to bed bugs...!! we are back and I can start after all this Monday. We went over to the art shop called Wallacks this arvo and I bought some oil paints...only 4 colours as we are using a limited palette...which is good. Also got a wooden palette as she likes wood and little clip on pots for cleaning my brushes. It should be fun.
While I was there at the shop, I was looking at some wax encaustic work. It is really nice. Maybe I will be able to do one of those classes before I come back. You need a lot of equipment to melt the wax and keep it melted etc...and it has to be well ventilated but it looks like fun.
Melanie came over for dinner tonite after work. She was happy it is the weekend I think. And I was able to speak to Alex briefly tonite as Don worked that out finally. Al was playing at Eumundi market tho and couldn't speak for long.
I am going to sew tomorrow and muck around with making felt again. I made some last week from old jumpers and I like the result...

Ouchies
I cooked salmon steaks with steamed broccolini and mashed potato with fresh parsley tonight.
Very yummy but hot iron splashed all over my hand and arm, it freaking hurts. I also got hot oil all over my new dress that I wore for the first time today!
At least the meal was yummy. I took a photo but I have to wait until I can get on Tom's computer to upload it.
Our herbs are going well and my petunia's and pansies are flowering. They are so pretty! At night I like to turn on the balcony lights and look at my pot plants. I think I could quite happily be a gardener.

Down by the river...found heaps of heart rocks. I will have to take a pic of all of them together...
My breckie one morning of oat pancakes with a jug of maple syrup on the balcony...nice..
and....my two dozen red roses Don gave me for my birthday..in real life they are much deeper...I don't know why the camera makes them lighter....my knitting is in the photo too with a dragons tear Melanie brought back from Montreal for us...
